J. R. "Bob" Dobbs is the founder of the Church of the Subgenius. Bob is the world's greatest salesman, a comic book character who communicates with space aliens and worships money. Bob was killed in 1984 but has returned from the dead many times, only to be killed again.
Bob is a revered and treasured icon of The Bowling League. The League advocates the complete destruction of Bob in all his forms.
