Internet relay chat (irc) is a primitive form of electronic communication created sometime in the Dark Ages by hackers. At best, irc is a useful forum for real time communication among a group of associates, and as such, is a primary form of communication for The Bowling League. Unfortunately, irc attracts asshats as well; sometimes this makes for humorous threads of communication and other times it's a pain in the ass.
Once in a while, a thread on irc becomes famouse and is saved for future exploitation in the Famouse irc threads thread..
